An interactive symposium designed for general surgeons involved in robotic-assisted hernia repair


COURSE DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this comprehensive 1.5 day educational event is to facilitate discussion on successful robotic solutions for inguinal and complex AWR and understand the proper use of Phasix™ Mesh, Phasix™ ST Mesh, Ventralight™ ST w/Echo 2 PS™ Mesh, 3DMax™ Mesh, Bard™ Soft Mesh and OptiFix™ Absorbable Fixation System. Discussion will include review of science and technology of products, economics and advantages of robotic hernia repair. Surgeons will observe live cases in operating room with two rooms operating simultaneously. The following morning surgeons will have an opportunity to participate in a hands-on cadaver lab under the direct supervision of faculty


EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
• Review current literature for hernia repair techniques, materials, and patient management strategies
• Gain new insights into robotic-assisted techniques for both ventral and inguinal hernia repair
• Demonstrate use of BD products in hernia repair
